About
Dr Megan Whelan
Megan Whelan graduated from the University of Witwatersrand in 2010. She has a keen interest in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and went on to complete her Masters degree in cardiopulmonary physiotherapy in 2017. She graduated with her Ph.D in July 2023 with the thesis entitled "The impact of preoperative education on postoperative outcomes in patients with colorectal cancer in Johannesburg, South Africa". Megan's passion lies in critical care, rehabilitation of patients with cancer, traumatology, and management of chronic respiratory diseases. Megan has undergone additional postgraduate studies through Pinc and Steel International to equip her to assist patients with cancer and has been trained using the Bradcliff Breathing Method to manage patients with breathing pattern disorders.
